We have positioned people development as a goal for management. In February 2020, we established educational and training systems based on Management Vision and Action Mindset. To increase the number of personnel who strongly embody the action guidelines, we added more details to the guidelines about independence/autonomy; transformation; co-creation; and growth, which really is the nexus of all these facets; to boost full potential. We precisely defined the level of action and attitude expected from the seven perspectives of foresight, aspiration, determination, cooperation, accomplishment, improvement, and development. This has enabled people to reflect on their own current level and clarify what they need to do in order to grow.
The base of our educational and training systems is competency development to hone the aforementioned abilities. In addition, we strive to support not just professional development, but growth as human beings as well. To this end, we have prepared programs that enhance broader education and programs that support employees at different life stages. We expect all employees to grow as personnel who proactively give back to the community, realizing they each play the leading role in their own story.
In fiscal 2019, which was the first year of the business integration, we focused on training related to building an organizational foundation. Specifically, seminars on boosting mutual understanding, workshops on the management vision, and meetings to explain the new HR systems both in Japan and overseas.
