The winner of the "Best Area Award" was Kanto Daiichi Area (in charge of Kanagawa and Shizuoka), which won the award for the second consecutive year, meanwhile all areas nationwide have achieved personal card issuance target plan. We achieved excellent results in all of our main products.

In the "Call Center” category, the sales promotion team at Niigata Center won the first place. All members were highly aware of achieving their goals and contributed to profit growth by promoting service such as "Nebiki Plus" to customers in an easy-to-understand manner.
Aichi Refinery (currently Aichi Complex) held an ‘in-house work improvement case presentation’ on February 6, 2019 for the purpose of revitalizing work activities and motivating the employees. Among seven participating teams from various sections in the refinery, Utilities Section and Refining Section 1 came with the best presentations. Refining Section 1 focused its presentation on how to ‘visualize’ a certain number of works. This idea was highly appreciated internally and proposed to be presented at the ‘work improvement case presentation’ held by Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance.
On July 3, 2019, taking “Initiatives to Expand New Business Domain” as the event theme, top 8 best practices (success story) were presented in front of 90 attendees.
On January 28, 2021, we held the 10th Refinery and Works Division Excellent Business Improvement Case Study Presentation remotely for the first time. This year, TOA Oil Co., Ltd., Showa Yokkaichi Sekiyu Co., Ltd., and Seibu Oil Co., Ltd also joined the conference, and 11 themes were presented from all over Japan. The grand prize was awarded to the Butanediol Section of Chiba Complex for their F201 filter cleaning frequency reduction theme. The judges’ special prize and the inspiration prize were both awarded to Refining Section 2 of the Hokkaido Refinery for the utilization of EXAPILOT. Mr. Maezawa, the managing director, said of the event, “I think that this event helped us share information about new technologies and ideas in various areas. I hope that the people who have worked on the improvements are able to savor their satisfaction. I think that satisfaction comes from hitting a wall and overcoming that barrier. I hope that everyone who participated in the event will communicate those struggles with our younger members.”
